Thanks to Tante Sara Cornell for doing this picture below! Sara is Eva's Godmommy! I was hoping to write more details of things, but I'm exhausted. It's tough trying to recover from giving birth and then have this experience on top of it, so someday i'll write more. As for Eva, she's being doing the same as when she was transferred. She's on cpap and they really haven't changed the settings, they are just giving her time. They are hoping in 3-5 days her lungs will be good and ready and then we work on feeding...so again it looks like we'll be here for 2 wks. Please just be praying for us all, recovery, emotions, stresses of just this whole situation....we are so thankful for all the love, support and prayers we have received! Our family has been so supportive and it's so hard to be so far away during this time, but we are so blessed with the friends God has given us here. Our friends that have so graciously helped with nate these last couple days THANK YOU...he's coming to be with us tomorrow and we can't wait to see him! We kept telling Eva tonight that if nate saw all her owies he'd be giving her constant kisses!!
Love to you all and we'll keep you posted!!
Just so you know, Eva is at Providence St Vincent Hospital in Portland OR.

Hey, just a little encouragement from the eastcoast. Take lots of deep breaths and remember she is his. Ask everytime you are there to hold her and kangaroo care is the best!! I've been there, done that, helicopter transport and all. Our awesome Lord will get you through! Praying for you.
I'm sure you have lots of contacts with knowledge of the NICU but I'm here if you have questions. :)
She looks so much like Nate!
I love her, I love her, I love her!
Praying for you and your cute family!
Thanks for the updates and phone calls. We appreciate that very much. "Lam 3:22-26 says "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. The Lord is my portin, says my soul, therefore I will hope in him. The Lord is good to those who wait for him." May the Lord strenghten you for each new day. Give Eva & Nate a big kiss from us. We love you all. Love Mom & Dad/Grandpa & Grandma
My favorite Psalm 139, v 13-16
"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."
Keeping your family close to our hearts in prayer.
Seeing all the gear on her brings flashbacks of Joseph being in the NICU. It's so hard at the time but looking back it was a great faith builder and good bonding time for Joey and I. Good luck and I'll be praying for you and your family!
Sonja, (and Dave too!) We have been praying lots for you guys! She is so beautiful, and as Sara said, she does look like Nate! I can't imagine what a struggle this all is! God is in control, even through it feels like you are in chaos! Eva has so many people praying, and thinking of her! Love you tons, and wish I could be there with you!
She is so precious! I have been praying for you guys and will continue to do so! It's so nice to get an update.
Praying for all of you as you are not near family, but sooo thankful that the Lord has given you such good friends out there. Love to you all, Praying for you all! She is soo beautiful, love her little cheeks.
Congratulations Sonja (and Dave!)! I love the cpap free face comment - we've been there and I remember what a great feeling it was to have that off for a few minutes to see her whole face and hear her voice! Such a blessing. I'm with Kjirsti - kangaroo is the best. It is such an emotional thing to feel like you are missing those first moments of bonding that one gets after a regular birth - for me kangaroo time was a great healing for my mommy heart. We will keep praying for Eva and for you all as you journey through. God is bigger than even this!
